UC Cybersecurity Awareness Month (UCCAM)
New UC Cybersecurity Requirements
We need your help to achieve success!
UC President Drake has issued new cybersecurity requirements that all UC locations must comply with by May 2025. Do your part and complete the following two requirements prior to the deadline:
- Complete the employee UC Cybersecurity Awareness Fundamentals Training.
- Use multi-factor authentication (MFA) for all UCSC email accounts. While individual accounts already require MFA, sundry, operational (aka functional), and sponsored accounts will also need it. If you manage one of these accounts, you’ll receive an email with instructions soon.
Other ways to stay cyber secure
In addition to participating in this campus-wide initiative, you can take a few other simple and effective actions to protect yourself, secure our campus, and secure our world:
- Use strong passwords and a password manager.
- Recognize phishing attempts and report them.
- Keep your software up-to-date.
